We welcome you as a volunteer! Homecrest supports the needs of 289 residents with 27 paid staff members. Our services are supported by staff, donations, and VOLUNTEERS.

If YOU enjoy playing games, calling bingo, working in the yard, reading to the visually impaired, exercising, teaching, or anything else, tell us! Make a senior smile and make your heart warm by giving and sharing!

Enjoying an Art Project


We welcome your financial support in several ways:

  • Make an undesignated gift or one for a specific purpose (See our current needs on the list below).
  • Make a contribution of stocks or bonds. Ask your tax advisor for the benefits associated with donating this property.
  • Make a habit of contributing throughout the year when an occasion arises such as "in honor of" or "in memory of."
  • We have started a program where you can become an Honorary Foundation Member. For a donation of $500, a plaque will be permanently mounted on a brick in the Promenade that recognizes you as the donor and honors or commemorates an event or person of your choosing.
  • You may also have a small plaque placed in the lobby for a nominal donation.

As our needs grow the shortage of funds also grows. For Homecrest to continue to have the Amenities it offers, we need your support.

Waving from the Van

You can make it happen! Our needs are the following:

  • Two professional Bingo machines - $2,000. You know how much fun this would be!
  • Make improvements to our Convenience Store by adding new shelving, window treatments, borders and fresh paint. You can help make use of our amenities a more pleasurable experience.
  • Additional outdoor benches - $1,000 (engraved memorial) or $500 (basic bench). Help allow more residents to sit and enjoy the outdoors.
  • Entry way banners, flags and planters - $1,800. Help enhance the welcome feeling as the residents enter their community.
  • Two electric fireplaces - $700 each. Your donation to provide a fireplace will add a warm feeling for the residents to gather around on a cold night.
  • Sponsor a Major Event such as our September "Jamboree" (Picnic) - $8,000, $4,000 and $1000 levels, New Year's Eve Party - $2,000, Monthly Birthday celebration with cake and refreshments - $150, and many more. If you wish you may receive recognition in announcements, flyers, and bulletins. Make a difference.
  • Our Promenade furniture could be upgraded to represent the quality of Homecrest House.
  • You may tell us how you would like to use your donation to Homecrest. If you have certain things that you or your loved one enjoyed and you wish to make a contribution in their memory, we will advise to its best use - such as computers for our computer lab, enhanced landscaping, arts and craft supplies, and so on.

Remember your continued contributions helps fund our full and part time Activity Coordinators, van and van driver, our fitness trainer, subsidizes our convenience store and allows us to hire entertainment for monthly parties.  Homecrest House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community and as such your donations are tax deductible. You can make a difference!
